Hawgs For Hope is an annual Motorcycle Benefit Ride held in Upstate South Carolina. All proceeds that are raised help families who are battling cancer. To help promote the event throughout the surrounding Upstate, the client asked that I redesign their existing material for an 11 Inch X 17 Inch poster style layout. The biggest obstacle for this assignment was creating a layout design around the existing Hawgs For Hope Logo. The logo, which is really a graphic, needed to be prominent in the hierarchy of communication, but was lacking in its styling and presentation. My solution for this problem was to reshape the logo/graphic from an oval, to a perfect circle and then create a graphical image of a motorcycle around it. The placement would suggest that the white space of the logo/graphic is the headlamp of the new motorcycle graphic. The rest of the information on the existing material was reworked with font styling, size, and color to help clarify all the various components of the event. (All work was designed while employed with Velocity Printing).
