The following pictures are a color study taken on a beautiful winter’s day on Edisto Island in South Carolina. The real challenge became a test of how close I could approach a flock of seagull’s sun bathing on the shore without startling them. A 300 mm lens was used to catch the wildlife at rest. Without a tripod, a steady distance shot became a game of balance and patience. Some of the more notable shots that caught my interest were of a sunset behind the grassy dunes, the sun hovering over a boardwalk, some flowers in front of an unfocused boardwalk, and a couple of shots of a sunset.
